Designed by the revered firm of Sparkman and Stephens, and built in Hamlet, North Carolina, the 34-2 embodies everything a sailboat has to offer for the coastal sailor or the blue water yachtsman. From 1984 through to 1989, 110 boats were built and they featured a mast head rig with double spreaders and a baby stay.
